Skyline View, CHL’s newest development at Southport on the Gold Coast is ready to say ‘welcome home’ to our newest residents after being officially opened by The Hon. Sam O’Connor MP, Queensland Minister for Housing and Public Works, on 9 October 2026.
This development provides 30 homes for people who need stable, long-term social housing. CHL’s Queensland State Manager Carly Bairstow says, “We’ve designed this development to provide safe and secure homes that allow people to age-in-place, as well as support the residents to build a sense of connection and community with common areas and garden spaces to share.
“We need to ensure older Queenslanders have access to quality homes with tailored, right-sized features that provide the accessibility and the support they need to age-in-place in their own communities.
“By providing people with the option to live in a suitably sized home, the flow-on benefit is that larger homes become available for families who are waiting for social housing. By having these homes available for people who are ready to choose to right-size, it is a critical part of addressing housing availability across Australia.”
The name of the property, Skyline View, reflects property’s elevated outlook across the famous Gold Coast skyline and its interconnecting corridors, symbolising connection across the region where our new residents will live. We are proud to work alongside the Queensland Government, communities and our partners, Ryall Smith Architects, APGC Group, Gaskell Planning Consultants, Ripple Group and Colliers to provide more homes for people who need them across Queensland.
