Meet Stacey

Our Customer Service Officer

CHL leadership team

Stacey’s journey at CHL has been defined by compassion, dedication and a genuine desire to make a difference. From her early days with CHL’s market real estate company, Horizon Housing Realty to her current role as a customer service officer, working in housing has always been a calling for Stacey — one that rings true in her commitment to helping others.

“I started working in the National Rent Affordability Scheme (NRAS) when I first joined CHL,” Stacey shares, reflecting on the early stages of her career. “At the time, NRAS was still in its infancy. After six months, I applied for a role in social housing services and I’ve been part of the best team ever since.”

With a background spanning many years in housing, Stacey found the perfect role – one that allowed her to combine her industry knowledge with her deep desire to support people. “I’ve always wanted to help others, so being able to do that within a housing role was the biggest drawcard,” she explains. “Being part of the process that leads to someone having a safe and secure home is incredibly rewarding.”

Over the years, the role of a housing officer has evolved significantly. Once primarily focused on property management, it now incorporates elements of incidental social work and trauma informed service approaches, requiring a more holistic approach to tenancy management. Stacey embraced this change wholeheartedly, finding deep meaning in the work she does.

In Stacey’s current role, she works to ensures her colleagues have what they need to succeed. “Now, I get satisfaction from helping the housing officers and making their jobs as easy as possible, so they can focus on delivering services out in our communities.”
