Housing Services Manager

Community Housing Limited (CHL) Group of Companies is an innovative and best practice affordable housing organisation which assists access to, develops and manages sustainable housing for people in need.  We are looking for a responsible and capable individual to oversee operations for our Tasmanian property management and tenancy programs to ensure quality service provision for our customers.

You will have ultimate responsibility for:

  • Overarching management of all programs to ensure programs meet compliance, contractual, reporting and CHL requirements
  • Effective management of staff
  • Ensuring timely and accurate data collections and reporting
  • Contributing to State planning and resourcing
  • Creating and maintaining effective partnerships with external bodies
  • Contributing to broader aims of CHL including community development, business development and growth

To be successful in this role you will need demonstrated experience in: a similar property and tenancy role with a management and leadership focus; an understanding of the housing sector and legislation, including working in compliance with government contracts; and, a relevant degree in social housing, management, or related discipline is preferred. Your key attributes of: professionalism and accountability; decisiveness and commitment to continuous improvement; nurturing relationships with stakeholders ; leadership and ability to guide and mentor staff; will enable you to excel in this role. This position will also require a current driver’s licence.

Your awareness of and sensitivity to the needs of people who are in housing crisis and/or have special needs/disabilities as well as your commitment to the right of all people to affordable and sustainable housing  will  drive you to provide excellent service delivery to our customers.
