In particular, over the past year we have strengthened our relationship with NEAMI Limited who provide community mental health support services where required.
The creation of 27 dwellings in Largs North, Parafield Gardens and Murray Bridge to support tenants living with a mental illness to be accommodated within the local community.

In another exciting trial in collaboration with NEAMI, six of the properties are being used for short term (typically 1- 3 days) respite accommodation for people who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness, and who are unable to live in their usual home during this period. It is anticipated that this model of care will alleviate potential homelessness consequences, shorten the period of illness for clients, and minimize the use of acute hospital beds.
