Leah Pernu, Sale

I’ve never been so happy in my life, I feel more independent in this home

After a seven year long wait Leah Pernu could finally get a place which she could call home. CHL recently launched a new ten unit development in Sale after working closely with local community groups. The development consists of a combination of one and two bedroom apartments plus a common space for social support.

“I have been counting down the months, weeks and days now until I can move in”.

“It’s all just so exciting and I’m just so happy because I haven’t even moved out on my own before.” “I’ve been waiting and waiting for it to be built. I would ride past the site on my bike while it was being built and I’d sitting there on my bike watching it and wishing it could just be finished. “I’ve never been so happy in my life, I feel more independent in this home”. Mrs Pernu said.

The project is funded through the Australian Government Nation Building Economic Stimulus Plan and by CHL, and delivered with the support of the Victorian Government. The project also received a contribution from Five Star Project Inc.
